Mahindra & Mahindra will be showcasing the Genio and Quanto face lifts at the 2016 Auto Expo according to reports.

The Auto Expo, slated to take place in the first week of February, will witness the launch of the all new Quanto with multiple interior and exterior changes. The car could be named the Canto and will completely do away with the Xylo inspired design. Instead, it will flaunt Mahindra’s new SUV design template complete with brand new daytime running lights, hood scoop, headlights, front bumper and grill.

According to sources, the Quanto face lift will also come with more comfortable and better cushioned seats inside in addition to quality plastics for the console and dashboard. The infotainment system will get a much needed upgrade with the BlueSense application from Mahindra. Mahindra will also be substituting its 1.5 litre diesel mCR100 engine with the fuel efficient diesel mHawk80 engine used in the TUV300. This car is also expected to possess 5 speed automated manual transmission.

The Genio will also have a new design instead of the Xylo inspired styling. This pickup will come with leaner headlights and a revamped bumper. There will be a new and attractive grille as well. The pickup uses the CRDe 2.5 litre diesel engine that dishes out 75 BHP and this will remain unchanged along with other specifications and characteristics. The Genio’s exteriors have been given a fresh and sporty touch.
