Porsche has recently revealed the Cayman GT4 Clubsport, which is a track focused edition of the Cayman GT4. The GT4 Clubsport is much like the regular GT4. The rear and front suspension of GT4 Clubsport have been borrowed from 911 GT3 Cup race car. The passenger seat in the cabin has been done away with and instead has been fitted with a roll cage. The driver’s seat on the regular car has been switched with a bucket seat that has six point safety harnesses.

The stopper power is given by 380mm steel discs on all the four ends with six piston callipers in the front and four piston callipers behind. The car has been equipped with adjustable ABS which has 12 stages to pick from. Its ESP has been reworked with slick tyres.

Porsche has commented that it intends to homologate the vehicle for use in several sportscar racing events all over the world, include the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Pirelli World Challenge and Porsche Club of America’s club races.

Experts believe that the GT4 Clubsport name hints at a hardcore racing and road going model that shall be brought out along the lines of the Cayman GT4 RS.
