Alfa Romeo reveals new Giulia


Powered by a Ferrari sourced V6; more engines to come.

The Italian automaker has lifted the cover of off its new range topping model the Giulia. The car features the company’s trademark grille along with the extensive use of carbonfibre, aluminium and plastic to keep its weight down to around 1.5 tonnes.

Inside as well, the car uses carbonfibre, leather, wood and fabric to keep weight down but keep the interior feeling premium.

In terms of power, the new car will get a Ferari sourced 503 bhp V8 in its top spec trim that will rival the likes of the BMW M3/M4 while the lower models are likely to get the second generation of the engine found in the current 4C. The car also gets a customized suspension.

The new Giulia will rival the likes of the BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-class with the top-spec Quadrifoglio Verde trim to rival the performance models. International sales start early next year.
