Education Can be Improved by Strike: ABVP

A “Chhatra hunkar rally” was organised in Lucknow on Wednesday by ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad), the student wing of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).

In Uttar Pradesh, ABVP appealed for a change in the state’s rule. They demanded an explanation by the political parties about their plan regarding the education quality, youth employment, and elections for students’ union. The parties included Congress, BSP, SP, and didn’t spare the independent candidates.

ABVP Secretary Speaks

Sunil Ambekar, the ABVP national organisation secretary, stated that a “surgical strike” is the need for the hour in order to improve the quality of education in UP, the same method the PM Narendra Modi and the Indian Army adopted to fight against terrorism and corruption.

Ambekar also referenced the previous Lok Sabha leections and said that a call for the abolition of corruption had been made students; their slogan stated “Chhatra shakti aati hai.. singhasan khali karo”. He claimed that this directed to a change in India as the society as a whole condemned corruption.

He referred to the judgement of demonetising Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes and congratulated the Centre for taking the first step against corruption.

More News from ABVP

While the suicide of Rohith Vemula, Hyderabad University’s research scholar, was targeted at the ABVP, Ambekar maintained that there is an assurance by ABVP that students from Scheduled Castes and Tribes (SC/ST) got their rights. Political leaders and parties who turn SC/ST’s issues into politics abuse the scholarship funds for their own purposes, he said.

Ambekar targeted CM Akhilesh Yadav and the Samajwadi Party govt and said that the state doesn’t require “fake Samajwadi and casteism” politics but the ideology of Deendayal Upadhyay, a BJP ideologue.

Saying that the UP politics is thus facing a vital period, he brought up the slogan of ABVP – “Chhatra shakti aayi hai-parivartan ki aandhi layi hai”.
