Is Vedic Education the Next Step?

Confederation of Education Excellence (CEE) had hosted a National Seminar on ‘Indian Philosophical Foundation for Modern Education’ on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr Manish Sisodia was the chief guest at the event, which was held at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rohini, New Delhi.

About the Event

5th September is celebrated across the country as Teachers’ day. Seminars and meetings are organised in schools and by government authorities. CEE held a national seminar on the topic ‘Indian Philosophical Foundation for Modern Education’.

After the welcome speech, the seminar followed with a discussion on issues related to restrictions of the education system in India. These topics were talked about at length by the dignitaries. The session also covered two major topics – “Roadmap for Quality Education – Vedic Education” and “Evolution of Indian Education over the years and the present condition”. The crowd enjoyed the discussion on the former topic. The latter topic involved discussions on the Gurukul education system and the current formal education system.

After discussing these subjects, Mr Sisodia took over and presented his vision and ideas to improve the quality of education in India.

He also agreed that one of the efficient ways to bring change to the education system was to have a strong philosophical foundation. He also expressed his desire to appoint thorough professionals in the education system who will bring about an effective change in the current functioning of the system.

The Deputy CM also said that our country is in need of an education ministry and not a Human Resource Development ministry. He concluded his address by felicitating the awardees from all over the country.

The seminar came to an end when CEE President Ms Shruti Arora delivered the vote of thanks to the distinguished crowd.
