This is the second consecutive month where the Bolero has remained firmly on top of the pecking list in terms of sales figures.
For those looking for a used Mahindra SUV or even a mint fresh rugged Indian off-roader, chances are, the Bolero is the top pick. The story remains same this year with the Mahindra Bolero staying unchallenged on top of the charts throughout October and November taking sales data into account. M&M now has four products in the top 10 by way of sales figures including the Bolero, XUV500, Scorpio and the new TUV300.
The Mahindra Bolero SUV is ahead of Hyundai Creta which sold 5, 837 units in comparison to the Bolero’s 6, 875 sales figure. October saw sales of the Bolero standing at 7, 754 units in comparison to the Creta’s 7, 225 units. The entire SUV segment grew by a whopping 2.5% in the period between April and September in comparison to the previous year which is good news by all means. The Creta has been a star for Hyundai from the time of its launch. According to the president and chief executive of the automotive business at Mahindra & Mahindra, Pravin Shah, talked of how the festive season and new launches worked to boost growth in the automobile industry along with moderate interest rates.
The Creta contributed hugely to Hyundai 23% year on year growth in total sales for the month of November. According to senior vice president for sales and marketing at Hyundai, Rakesh Srivastava, the company is expecting this surge to continue into the coming quarter too.
