Porsche Sued by Actor Paul Walker’s Father for Negligence and Wrongful Death

In a development that has shocked the automotive community at large, iconic actor Paul Walker’s father has sued German giant Porsche for negligence and wrongful death.

Paul William Walker III filed his lawsuit on Wednesday and this states how the Porsche Carrera GT that his son was riding in, lacked necessary safety features that may have contributed towards saving his life. This lawsuit comes two years after the superstar Fast & Furious actor’s death in a terrible car crash at California’s Santa Clarita. The lack of safety features seems to be the main talking point of the lawsuits while it has been cited how the model had always suffered from control related issues and instability. Unspecified damages have been sought by the actor’s father from Porsche.

Paul Walker was nestled in the car’s passenger seat when his friend Roger Rodas supposedly lost all control of the car and the vehicle crashed into a tree. This caused the vehicle to burst into flames immediately and both friends lost their lives in the accident. Walker and Rodas were aged 40 and 38 respectively at the time of the accident. The accident spurred collective mourning from the film fraternity and fans of the late actor. This lawsuit has definitely shocked Porsche and other automobile companies alike. It remains to be seen how Porsche prepares its defence or whether it agrees to an out of court settlement.
