Audi Set to Source Samsung Memory Chips

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd will be providing memory chip products to Volkswagen Group’s Audi. This will be the result of a strategic partnership between the South Korean electronics giant and the luxury German automobile maker.

As per sources, memory chip products will be sourced from Samsung Electronics Co Ltd by Audi which is owned by the Volkswagen Group. This strategic partnership will see the supply of increasingly sophisticated and groundbreaking technological products and components from Samsung and its sister organizations to be integrated into premium automobiles from Audi’s stable. This could well be the beginning of a whole new trend where tech companies directly integrate into the framework of an automobile major and work in collaboration.

Market experts are hailing this as a landmark development particularly from Audi’s perspective. Audi connoisseurs and loyalists also rejoiced at this new development. No financial conditions and terms of the partnership were revealed to the media by the two companies. The news of this tie-up was revealed by Samsung in a blog post. Samsung is all set to provide top of the line memory chips for Audi’s upcoming infotainment dashboard and other applications pertaining to driver assistance which will represent a new era of technology altogether. There was no official comment from Samsung spokespersons relating to this matter.
