Will be launched in India later this year.
Hyundai has announced that it will be calling its India-bound small SUV the Creta. The SUV will be launched in India in the later half of this year before being launched in other international markets where it has till now been known as the iX25.
The Creta will likely be powered by the company’s 1.6-litre diesel motor developing 126bhp and 26.5kgm of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission with the option of an automatic also likely. Also under consideration is a 121bhp 1.6-litre petrol motor but that will not be arriving anytime soon.
The small SUV will miss out on the excise benefits of a sub 4 metre car with its length being just shy of 5 metres. Expect prices to around the Rs 15 lakh mark.
