ICSE, ISC Exams 2017: To be Rescheduled Due to Assembly Election


On the report of the previous schedule, the year 2017’s Indian School Certificate Examination was planned to be held starting 6 Feb by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) starting 27 Feb.

However, the CISCE has now adjudicated to reschedule the 10th and 12th standard exams because the previous exam dates are coinciding with the dates for assembly elections.

Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive for CISCE, stated that, because of the elections, there will be a rescheduling of exams, but pointed out that the final dates have not been decided yet.

Some important notes concerning the examinations of ICS and ISC:

An extra 15 minutes will be provided for the students to read and go through the question paper, in addition to the actual time mentioned in the timetable for attempting the paper.

  • For practical exams, the question papers will be handed to the candidates at 8:45 am so that they can comfortable start the exam at 9 o’
  • For theory exams, the question papers will be handed to the students at 1:45 pm so that they can go through the questions and start the exam at 2 o’
