Auto Expo Should Be Attracting At Least 1 Lakh Visitors Daily

The iconic biennial automobile show, the Auto Expo Motor Show 2016 will be held from February 5-9 in Greater Noida. A meeting on this was recently held between organizers and administrative officials.

The flagship Auto Expo which was a huge hit in 2014 should be drawing a daily visitor count of one lakh in 2016 as per the expectations of the organizers. A meeting was recently held for working out all necessary logistics and other details ahead of this glittering event as per the deputy general manager (projects), Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), Mr. Rajeev Tyagi. With 1 lakh expected daily capacity, administrators are insistent on foolproof preparations. According to Tyagi, there will be multiple security levels created through private security guards, CISF and the local police.

The venue will kept under complete CCTV surveillance with more than 180 cameras scattered all throughout. The local police will have their PCRs placed in and around the venue as well. There will be equipment like vehicle scanners and sniffer dogs for tightening venue security according to him. The organizers stated how specific sub-committees would be made for creating suitable arrangements. The meeting saw the emergence of a plan for setting up ticket counters in states like Haryana and Punjab which are nearby. The meeting also saw bookings being outsourced through specific online ticketing companies.

The meeting witnessed attendance from organizers of the expo, India Exposition Mart Limited officials, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Rama Raman, the show host and Greater Noida Authority chairperson. The district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar and the senior superintendent of police were also present at the meeting. Automobile enthusiasts are gearing up for the Expo in full force and this should be a landmark event on the global automotive calendar too.
