An official release of a picture of the 2016, all new Toyota Innova has prompted many to call this a teaser of sorts. The new car should be coming to India the same year itself.

The Toyota Innova has always been one of the most high performing and luxurious MUVs in the country. Toyota had its first big hit in India with Innova and now, the company has released an official picture which showcases the brand new Innova for 2016. Earlier, a few spy images were released by various sources but this is the first official image of the vehicle to be released in Indonesia on the 23rd of November.
Going by the picture in question, it can be seen that the 2016 Toyota Innova will definitely flaunt a new design language that is in sync with the entire Toyota stable including vehicles like the Corolla Altis and Camry. The new Innova will come with an eye catching grille at the front along with a new front bumper and fog lamps that look considerably sharper. The teaser image also hints at projector type headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lamps. The rear of the vehicle has also been redesigned to give it a fresh spin.
The interiors of the Innova should be similar to the new Fortuner released by Toyota. The dual tone dashboard gets a faux wood strip while the AC vents and central console come with surrounds in brushed aluminum. The petrol variant should possess a 16 valve, 2.0 liter DOHC engine with 139 PS and 184 Nm of torque. The diesel variant should be the 2.4 liter GD powerhouse with for the VNT intercooler. This engine should churn out 360 Nm of torque and 149 PS of power for the automatic variant while the manual one should come with 342 Nm of torque. Toyota should only be bringing the diesel Innova to India according to sources.
The 2016 Toyota Innova will witness an end of year launch in India and experts estimate slightly higher prices in comparison to the present model.
