Mini launches refreshed Countryman


The car is diesel only; gets updates to styling and options list.

03 The new MINI CountrymanMini has launched a refreshed version of the Countryman in diesel trim only. The new model is priced at Rs 36.50 lakh (ex-showroom ,Delhi).

In terms of styling, the car gets a revised dual-slat grille, revised bumpers and side-skirts with silver faux skid-plates and new design 17-inch alloy wheels. LED daytime-running lamps, guidelamps and fog-lamps are on offer as options.

In the cabin, the large, centrally mounted dial has been tweaked and more chrome detailing has been added. There’s also new options for upholstery, trims and colours.

Under the hood of the large Mini is a 110bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine developing 27.53kgm of torque between 1750 and 2250rpm mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The company claims that the updated Countryman can sprint from 0-100kph in 11.3 seconds with a top speed of 185kph.

Mini has also updated the pricing of all its models in the market with all models now being CBUs only with the local assembly of the Mini Countryman having shutdown late last year.
