Honda discontinues CB Unicorn

The company has pulled the plug on the bike following last December’s launch of the Unicorn 160.

CB Unicorn
The Japanese company has pulled the plug on the CB Unicorn 150 following the launch of the 160cc variant last December. The bike has been officially removed from the company website with dealers offering discounts to empty out the remaining stock.

When launched back in 2005, the bike registered good sales figures consistently and also boasted of benchmark comfort levels, most of which was because of its outstanding ride. Over the years competition in the segment heated up with Honda offering three bikes in the segment with the CB Unicorn 150 and 160 and the CB Trigger. The step to discontinue the 150 seemed logical as it was the oldest bike of the lot.

At present some dealers still have leftover stock of the previous model, and are offering handsome discounts ranging from Rs7,000-15,000 to clear it. These offers obviously, are region specific.
