Chocolates on Women’s Day

On the occasion of International Women’s day, we at Quikr took the opportunity to make all the women at Quikr feel special and appreciated for the various roles they play in our lives. The theme for International women’s day this year was “Equality for women is progress for all.” This sentiment is especially resonant in today’s modern India, where women have emerged from just being housewives to climbing the corporate ladder to being the President of the country.

We tried to appreciate their contribution in our lives by telling them we care. All the women at Quikr were presented with chocolates and bookmarks and their workstations were beautifully decorated with pink and white balloons. The entire workplace reflected the mood of International Women’s day.

It gave us all a sense of pride that we were some way able to appreciate the contribution of women in our lives. It was an occasion for looking back on past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.
