BMW 6-Series gets minor cosmetic changes; retains existing engine.
The Bavarian automaker has confirmed the launch of the facelifted 6-series in India on May 29, 2015. The facelifted car gets minor styling changes inside and out but retains the engine from the older model.
In terms of exterior styling, the new car gets restyled front and rear bumpers, a new-look kidney grille, redesigned alloy wheels and new LED headlamps. The paint scheme will also include four new shades.
Inside, the car gets new two-tone leather upholstery along with a heads-up display. The cabin otherwise remains unchanged though BMW claims that quality has improved over the outgoing model.
Under the hood, the new car will continue to feature a 3.0-litre straight-six diesel motor pumping out 309bhp mated to a eight speed automatic transmission. Drive will be sent to the rear wheels.
The new car will be imported as completely built units and will rival the facelifted CLS-class in the market.
