Bangkok Gets Exclusive Store as Part of Royal Enfield’s Thailand Entry


 

Royal Enfield has announced its entry into the Thailand motorcycle market and its future plans. This announcement came at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2015. The company will be strongly focusing on the global midsized motorcycle segment (250-750cc).

The Thailand International Motor Expo saw Royal Enfield showcasing its comprehensive motorcycle range including the famous Bullet 500cc, Continental GT café racer and retro-street models such as the Classic Chrome and Classic 500cc. According to the International Business Head, Royal Enfield, Arun Gopal, the brand’s motorcycles embody timelessness, accessibility and greater engagement.

 

The brand has also introduced a range of cutting edge accessories and gear exclusively for Thailand. The company has witnessed a growth of 50% over the last five years and this has come from key markets like Latin America, India and South East Asia. With the leisure motorcycling segment well developed in Thailand and several biking communities present here, the brand expects greater traction here.

 

Thailand, being one of the key markets for two wheelers, is definitely going to be crucial for Royal Enfield. There is huge customer base that the brand is going to tap and this base will be looking at future upgrades to new generation models. Royal Enfield will be opening an exclusive store at Thong lo in Bangkok.  This dealership will be set up as part of a collaboration with General Auto Supply (GA). GA will also provide aftermarket capabilities and service as part of this agreement.

 

Royal Enfield has been scaling up its global footprint and the company has a significant presence in cities like Madrid, London, Dubai, Paris, Medellin and Bogota among others. The company has made considerable investments in the country and production capacity at the Chennai plant will be ramped up to meet growing demand. The company is also planning to unveil a range of new bikes in the near future.
