Tata Motors has recently launched the updated version of the Safari Storme with a few cosmetic changes. The engine has been upgraded to a 148 bhp one. The facelifted version of the Storme has been introduced with minor styling tweaks inside and out along with a few added equipments such as central armrest for rear bench passengers, rear parking sensors, newer audio controlling system with display screen, Bluetooth and Aux compatibility, USB and steering mounted controls. Apart from the cosmetic changes, Tata is slated to introduce an engine upgrade as well.
The facelifted version of the Safari Storme is slated to be launched in a couple of days. It shall be made available with a powerful 2.2 litre engine which shall produce a torque of 40.78 kgm and power of 154.8 bhp. The engine shall be hooked to a 6 speed manual gearbox along with four wheel and shift on the fly drive.
The engine shall be made available only in the VX top spec trim. The Safari Storme’s EX and LX trims shall continue with the 2.2 litre motor that produces a power of 148 bhp hooked to a 5 speed gearbox. The upgraded Safari Storme is rumoured to be priced at Rs 13.37 lakh.
