The Tata Kite is one of the highly awaited compact hatchbacks from Tata’s stable and its first official sketch has been revealed, sparking great enthusiasm amongst automobile lovers and Tata loyalists.
In an exciting move, Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile manufacturer, has revealed a sketch of its upcoming hatchback, the Kite. The Tata Kite has been eagerly awaited by brand loyalists and entry level customers alike and this sketch definitely goes a long way towards generating greater enthusiasm and consciousness regarding the car. This will be the third Tata Motors vehicle to be developed under the HorizoNext campaign post the Tata Bolt and Zest. The Tata Kite is expected to be launched in the month of December, 2015.
This will be one of the most pioneering cars launched by Tata and should outstrip the Bolt in terms of popularity, price friendliness and an all new design even. The Kite should be coming with the new 1.05 litre engine with three cylinders and will primarily run on diesel according to sources. This car will dish out around 64 BHP of power and torque figures are expected to stand at around 140 Nm. The hatchback was shown in the form of a tiny teaser as part of its TVC showcasing its global brand ambassador, Lionel Messi. In the teaser, a few parts of the Kite were shown, namely the door handles, tail lamps and the front portion. The front comes with a chrome lined grill that looks quite attractive to say the least. The Kite should be priced between Rs. 3.5 and 5.5 lakh in India and this should definitely pose some serious competition to other popular hatchbacks like its elder sibling Bolt in addition to the Hyundai Eon, Honda Brio, Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai Santro and more.
