The country’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, has launched the new Splendor Pro on the eve of Navaratri. This marks the second of Hero MotoCorp’s big launches ahead of the festive season. The new Splendor Pro is priced attractively at INR 46,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi) to provide a strong competition to its rivals.
Hero MotoCorp, with its flagship Splendor series has met a major milestone by surpassing a record 2.5 crore unit sales cumulatively from 1994. The Splendor has been regularly upgraded to meet customers growing needs. Currently the Splendor series has a range of five variants.
Keeping up with the trend the new Splendor receives a much needed facelift in the name of the new Splendor Pro. The new bike features a sporty wind-shield and visor with a new headlight assembly, new clear lens indicators and a new fresh tri-set cockpit meter console which includes a side stand indicator as well. The new Splendor Pro’s body gets a revamp with new muscular and bolder fuel tank, chrome plated utility box and muffler cover, body coloured mirrors, sporty tail lamps, a wider more comfortable seat and broad grab rails. To add to the visual treat, the new Splendor Pro sports new generation graphics.
The new Splendor Pro looks sleeker and refreshing with all the visual upgrades. Apart from the visual treats, the new bike does not get any mechanical upgrades. The new Splendor Pro comes with the same trusted and reliable 4-stroke single cylinder APDV engine like its predecessors. The engine produces a maximum power of 8.36 PS @ 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 8.05 Nm @ 5000 rpm.
The bike will be available in eight colour schemes – Black Purple, Heavy Green, Cloud Silver, Candy Blazing Red, Palace Maroon and Black Monotone along with two new attractive colours, Shield Gold and Black Red. The new Splendor Pro will be available in four variants which will provide customers with more suitable options to choose from. As an icing on the cake, the new bike comes with a unique 5-year warranty.
Adding to the festive cheer for customers, Hero also introduced a new variant of Splendor+ which features a Self-Start to increase the convenience of the customers. It also added two new colour schemes to the Splendor iSmart models. The new Splendor Pro was launched along with Hero’s new Scooter Maestro Edge which is one of the first products developed by Hero’s in-house technology. The Maestro is priced at INR 49,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
