The Ford Endeavour will be launched in its new avatar in 2016. It is expected to be launched at the Auto Expo 2016. The Endeavour is a body-on-frame construction and is developed on the Ranger pick-up truck platform.

The New Endeavour has a simple but premium styling and is completely different from its current version. It gets a new trapezoidal front grille with horizontal slats, projector headlamps, side steps, a roof-mounted rear spoiler and 20-inch alloy wheels. There is a broad chrome strip on the tailgate between the tail lamp clusters further adding enhancing the premium look of this big SUV. It also features a panoramic sunroof.

The interiors are modern and well laid out. The new Endeavour has a restyled dashboard with new centre console. Ford’s SYNC2 infotainment system which is a new generation one also features in it. The new Endeavour would come with two engines options, the first one is a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder diesel mated to a rear-wheel-drive system and manual transmission. The second one is a 3.2-liter, 5-cylinder diesel motor, mated to a six-speed automatic and available only in four-wheel drive configuration. Ford will also introduce its Terrain Management System in India, with the Endeavour, which consists of four preset settings – normal, snow/gravel/grass, sand and rock.

The new Ford Endeavour will compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Isuzu MU-7 and the Chevrolet Trailblazer. It is expected to be priced in the range of INR 24-30 lakhs (on-road).
