The successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo, Huracan was launched in India around a year ago. For making things more exciting for customers, the company has launched a two wheel drive version, the Huracan LP 580-2 in the country for Rs 2.99 crore (Ex Showroom Delhi).

For distinguishing it from its four wheel drive counterpart, this new version of the Italian car is available with newer front bumpers that allow improved air intake whereas a new rear diffuser has been fitted for improving the airflow from the back. The latest Huracan has also been given Pirelli PZero tires that are customized for this design. The powertrain is where important changes have been made in the model. The V10 5.2 litre engine produces 580 horse power and torque of 540 Nm. It has been hooked to a 7 speed Doppia Drizione dual clutch automated transmission. The car can move through faster shifts.

Given performance, an electronic power steering, returned suspension, Magneto Rheological suspension, stability control systems and Lamborghini Plattaforma Interziale have been put together for assisting the back wheel drive. The vehicle’s weight has reduced by 33 kilos from four wheel drive. However, the acceleration has not been enhanced, as the car moved from zero to 100kmph within 3.4 seconds. It is slower than the LP 610-4. The top speed of the LPS580-2 is around 320 kmph.

The new Huracan has been presented with all the equipments that were there in the standard vehicle, including Ad Personam, the Lamborghini personalization programme. The latest infotainment system on the car has been fitted with 12.3 inches TFT high resolution instrument panel. The latest Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 shall be sold alongside the Aventador and Huracan series that is there in the Indian market.
