The company has stated that it will be adjusting production for meeting demand and this will also help avoid unnecessary inventory buildup. The company has proposed suspension of manufacturing operations at its plants as per its regulatory filing. There has been no financial impact on account of this proposed suspension.

Bosch, one of the major suppliers to a large chunk of new and used cars plying in the country, has already suspended production at its Jaipur plant for a total of eight days starting from the 26th of December. This has been done to adjust suitably to market demand. The company manufactures multiple products including fuel injection systems for gasoline and diesel, electrical components for automobiles, automotive aftermarket products, packaging machines, special purpose machines, security systems and electric power tools.

In 2014, the Bengaluru plant had witnessed a strike for three months by workers with regard to settlement of wages. The chairman of the Board of Management at Bosch, Volkmar Denner, had then talked of how labor unrest could seriously dampen Indian investments.
